About us

Meet Chef & Owner Terry Letson. Growing up as one of eight siblings, Terry's culinary journey began out of necessity, with a passion for cooking emerging from the need to feed many hungry mouths. After years of dedication and success with two Los Angeles restaurants, he found his home in Napa Valley, a true haven for food and wine enthusiasts. Known for his unparalleled work ethic, Terry personally crafts every dish on the menu at Fumé and runs a thriving catering business.

Terry cherishes his own large family of five children, with two still in school, and loves spending quality time with ''his boys,'' who are often seen adding a lively touch to the dining room. His family is rich in artistic talent, reflected in his marriage to acclaimed local artist Sheri DeBow, whose artwork enjoys international recognition. At our American bistro, we blend French, Italian, and Mediterranean influences to create food that is simple, honest, and seasonally inspired. Complementing our dishes is an eclectic wine list, featuring primarily California wines, all served in a warm environment with friendly service and meticulous attention to detail.
